陆行区位于今浦东新区中部。原为上海县陆行乡，因陆行镇得名。民国17年(1928年)改乡为区。民国34年抗日战争胜利后撤销，辖地划归洋泾区。区境东至川沙县，南界洋泾区，北接高行区，西濒黄浦江。面积27平方公里。
