新四军苏北指挥部旧址曲江楼内立有一座陈毅元帅塑像。 1940年夏秋，新四军抗日东进。 9月，新四军苏北指挥部驻曲江楼，总指挥陈毅下榻于楼上，运筹帷幄，为新四军决战黄桥前打赢了政治仗，进而，取得了“黄桥战役”的胜利。
